From OFFLINE to ONLINE

As someone that used to spend most of her time traveling and on planes during the pre-COVID world, it was a BIG change for me to be still, in one place (for even more than a week) and to transfer my offline and in-person keynotes and work to the virtual world.

Just like digital transformation, moving online doesn’t mean literally repeating the same thing that you did offline - now online.

It means truly understanding the new digital environment and it’s stakeholders.

It means putting yourself in your customers’ shoes and meeting them where THEY are.

In our current reality most people are working from home and are under a lot of pressure. And what you are doing is trying to get their attention — whether you are trying to sell something, deliver a keynote or even get your team to be excited about their daily work.

Getting someone’s attention and time is not something that we should take lightly, especially now!

If you think about it, everyone is competing for everyone’s attention all the time.

From social media, to Netflix, eCommece platforms and even at the workplace. As a manger you need to realize that you are competing with so many outside sources (and distractions) for your employees’ attention - on a daily basis.

How can you connect with your team in a meaningful way that will inspire them to invest in the company and do their best work?

As with digital transformation or any innovation process where you need to change the old ways of doing things, you need to first understand your customer/audience.

  • What do they need?

  • How are they feeling right now?

  • How can you add value and improve their lives?

Reflecting and considering these questions will make or break your transformation process. It will determine your success at the end.

When we connect with something larger than ourselves, and we lead with creating value for others - we enjoy the fruits of our labour as well as the journey.

I am personally still beaming with gratitude from the testimonials that were sent to me.

Thank you everyone for your support, it means so much to me.
